Primary Election March 3rd

The Democratic and Republican party primary elections will be held on March 3, with early voting from February 17-27. The Libertarian and Green parties hold conventions to select candidates. You may only vote in one party's selection process. Check your voter registration status and be sure to register to vote by February 2. Apply for a ballot-by-mail by February 20.

How To – Find where to vote in the Primary Election

There is a lot of confusing information in Dallas about where to vote in the 2026 Primary Election.

First, the good news: Vote Centers will be used for Early Voting from February 17 through February 27, 2026. We strongly recommend you VOTE EARLY! To find a convenient Vote Center go to www.dallascountyvotes.org. Look under the heading “Voters” and then "Vote Center Locator" which takes you to a map.

Now, the bad news: Dallas County Elections Department is still figuring out the details for Election Day, March 3, 2026. Two issues are affecting where you will vote. (1): With the adoption of the 2025 redistricting plans by the state legislature, some precincts were affected. The proposed precincts took effect on January 1, 2026. To see if your precinct changed go to www.dallascountyvotes.org, the website for the Dallas County Elections Department. And (2): Decisions by the Republican Party have changed how and where we vote on election day.

tTo figure out where to vote on Election Day you first need to know your precinct number. Use the Dallas County Elections Department website to figure this out. Under the “Voters” heading, go to “Voter Lookup” and enter your name and birthdate and click Search. Your precinct number will be at the end of the list of data. You can also find this on your voter registration card, which will be mailed out to every voter very soon from the county elections office. Make a note of the number.

Now you can search their website for the voting location maps. Find the maps under Voters, Election Day. The maps won’t be live until the election.  We will update this information when it is available.

In Texas, for many races voting in the Primaries may be more important than voting in the November General Election. Please have a voting party and bring your family and friends.

January 28th General Meeting: Childcare Deserts
