Who and what is on your ballot?

Texas voters cast ballots at least three times per year. In some races if a candidate does not get a majority of the votes, there is an additional election between the top two voter getters called a "run-off."

You can see a sample of your ballot at vote411.org or at www.dallascountyvotes.org/voters/ballot. You will be asked to provide information to enable the system to show the ballot for your address.
Dallascountyvotes.org may require you to click on an additional button to link to a run-off election ballot.

About Vote411.org / Voters Guide

Starting 30 days before each election, you can start using LWV nonpartisan resources to learn where candidates running for office in your community stand on the issues and to see pro/con list for propositions. You can find out what your candidates think about everything from healthcare to jobs to environmental views all in one place in any of these formats:
Candidates are sent questions by LWV volunteers based on which role they are running for at the federal, state, and local level. The responses to those questions come directly from candidates. For propositions and bonds on that will be on your ballot, LWV volunteers provide a pro/cons list. While the three formats are different and are published at different times, the information is the same.

Create a Personalized Ballot using Vote411.org

Vote411.org is an interactive, online voters guide brought to you by The League of Women Voters Education Fund and local LWV volunteers from Dallas, Irving, and Richardson. About 30 days before an election, Vote411.org populates with responses from candidates and the pro/con list for propositions. By entering your address, you will see only your races and issues. NO PHONES are allowed at the polls, so print your selections.

Read Voters Guide on your screen or print one yourself

About twenty days before an election, the League of Women Voters of Dallas posts the Dallas County Voters Guide as a pdf here. It contains the same information as Vote 411.org and the printed LWV Voters Guide from the Library.  Make a list of your selections to bring to the polls. No phones allowed.

Pick Up a printed Voters Guide

About fifteen days before an election, you can pick up a printed League of Women Voter Guides for Dallas County at all Dallas Public Libraries, at the LWV-Dallas office and other locations around the Dallas County.

  1. The printed Voters Guide shows ALL the races and issues in Dallas County. You will need to look up your voting districts at https://www.dallascountyvotes.org/voter-lookup . The Voter Registration Certificate (blue postcard mailed in January of 2022) may be incorrect if your districts were shifted due to redistricting. Alternatively, check the district maps at the end of the Guide to find what districts you vote in.
  2. Select candidates only in your districts.
  3. You may bring a printed Voters Guide or a list of your selections to bring to the polls. No phones allowed.
